Project 8: Video Art
Project 8
Course Code and Name: MSJ 11215 Convergence Communication 2
Project Name: Video Art
Title: “Introvert”
Project Date: Spring 2020
Project Description: As part of this subject, students were expected to make video art. The term's curriculum integration theme was "Social Anxiety". This was the capstone assignment for the class and required of all students. The instructors insisted that we consider an idea and turn it into a video artwork. The initiative aimed to shed light on social anxiety.
Project Justification: My concept stems from the anxiety caused by interacting with society's many different types of individuals and their difficulties. To provide just one example, there is public speaking. A guy has trouble expressing himself in front of others. On the other hand, I believe that he is most receptive to encouragement and a helping hand when he feels someone is standing behind him. Once he realizes this, he'll have no trouble completing the task. Then he gets up in front of the crowd, makes a speech, sings, and performs.

Concept Paper of Video Art
Title: “Introvert”
Idea: My idea is based on social anxiety; we face various kinds of people with multiple problems in society. Public speaking is one of them. A man finds it difficult to talk in public. But I think when somebody inspires him and puts a hand on his shoulder. Then he can do it with ease. Then he rises, gives a speech, sings, and performs in public.

Learning and Outcome (Self-Reflection)
In this course, I was able to master Adobe Premiere Pro, and I'm comfortable using this powerful program to edit my video projects. This experience broadened my understanding of video art and taught me to look for hidden meanings and messages in the things I investigate. This assignment taught me about cinematic composition and how to express an idea via visuals and sound effects. I was taught the ins and outs of gathering material and managing installations. The challenge was made more accessible by the work on this project. Constraints I face in my management role. This assignment allows me to better analyze and articulate my ideas creatively.
